RIDING & DRIVING LESSONS

Whether you are searching for a place to start your equestrian career or advance to the highest levels of competitive horse showing, Society Hill Farm is the perfect place to be. Our staff takes great care to develop a learning program to not only strengthen each rider's and driver's fundamental skills, but to help them advance to the highest level they desire to achieve. Lessons are available for all seats.

If you simply want to learn how to ride or drive for pleasure, or if you aspire to compete locally and nationally, we have a spot for you at Society Hill Farm. To schedule your first lesson, contact Olivia at (207) 536-4567 or by email at olivia.shra@gmail.com.

Lesson Duration: 30 minutes

Lesson Cost: $48 per lesson

Riders should wear long pants (riding jodhpurs are preferred) and boots/shoes with a heel are strongly recommended. Helmets are recommended and can be provided for riders who do not have their own.

PILGRIM

Pilgrim was our very first acquisition for our lesson program. He comes from Saddlebred Rescue in New Jersey, where he was removed from a kill pen at a slaughter auction. After putting some weight on and adjusting to life in our program, less than a year out from his rescue, Pilgrim made his academy debut, winning his first class.

JELLY BEAN

Pilgrim was so wonderful, we decided we needed another SBR horse! Jelly Bean takes on the role of "advanced" horse in our program; his kind attitude and his big motor make him ideal for getting our students one step closer to being ready to ride a show horse. Our show riders will also often be seen riding Jelly for warm up lessons, extra practice on a specific skill, or  to improve overall showmanship.
